Bonnie + Brandon’s Wedding Ring Story
When standing at a wild river’s edge, the shoreline may look straight and the current’s path to be unchanging, but the truth is that rivers ‘meander.’ We think of them as being stable features, but they’re constantly evolving and carving a slightly new route, re-inventing themselves over time, much like a growing relationship. Bonnie and Brandon’s rings are inspired by the many qualities of a natural river.
One of the visual joys of a river is found in the treeline’s reflection. If you squint your eyes and abstract the pattern into simple color families, the rhythmic symmetry begins to look like native geometry. This beautiful and subtle quality inspires the simple pattern that flows around these rings, reflecting over the peaked center line, and dissipating around the back of the band. The edges of the rings taper in width and follow an organic carved feel until they meet the swooping curve that flows across the band. On Bonnie’s ring this curving water feature wraps around her diamond. This curvature speaks to the way a river meanders and is in a constant state of discovery and evolution.
