Jenna + Steven’s Engagement Ring Story
Striking a balance between focused precision and organic qualities, Jenna’s ring embraces bilateral symmetry, open space, layers like that of a shoreline’s cliff, and a watery blue lab-grown diamond.
The overall form of Jenna’s ring is largely driven by the adventurous concept of moving from the known to the unknown. This is represented by the directional quality of the pear shaped diamond that is mounted in the “known” and directs the eye to the open space next to it, the “unknown”. The top view of the ring echos its form out from this organic yet symmetric shape. The stone itself is watery and bright, with a blue hue and a reflective faceted cut.
The open space also represents the “soul” and “light” of the ring, showcasing Jenna, herself, through the design. The shape surrounding the space is symmetric: a focused and centered form that references Jenna and Steven being ‘connected souls,’ visualized by two halves coming together to embrace the open space.
From the side, the ring is layered from the smoothly brushed surfaces at the top, down to a softly faceted hand carved band with a scratched surface, much like that of natural rock.
